Begin With Confidence

This is our first Combat Collective course in Liverpool, and it’s built the same way every one of our beginner courses is: slowly, clearly, and without any assumption that you’ve done this before.

Over four weeks at Masda Gym, you’ll learn the basics of Muay Thai in a women’s-only space, alongside other women who are starting from exactly the same place as you. No experience needed. If you’re new to training and don’t have gloves yet, don’t worry — you can buy a pair at the gym before your first class.

Meet Your Coach

Coach Mia Trevorrow

Mia is one of the coaches leading the Liverpool course, training out of Masda Gym. As the ISKA British Champion and currently ranked 8th globally, she recently made her debut for ONE Championship — one of the biggest stages in the sport — winning on her first appearance, and she’s back in action again on 17th July in Lumpinee!

What matters for this course isn’t the fight record, though, it’s how Mia coaches. She works with complete beginners regularly and is known for making people feel comfortable from their very first session, breaking things down clearly and at a pace that makes sense whether you’re a complete beginner or have been training for years. You’ll be learning from someone competing at an exceptional level, in a room built to be welcoming rather than intimidating.

Who It’s For?

This course is for:

  • Complete beginners who have never trained in Muay Thai or any combat sport before.

  • Women who want a women’s-only environment to learn in, without feeling like they need to keep up with anyone else.

  • Anyone who’s felt nervous about starting something like this — this course exists to take that nervousness away.

You don’t need to be fit, flexible, or coordinated to start. You just need to be willing to show up.

This course is the start of something, not a one-off. Masda Gym is launching ongoing women’s-only Muay Thai classes, so once your four weeks are up you’ll be able to move straight into them — same coaches, same community, same welcoming space. You’ll already know the basics, you’ll know the space, and you’ll know some of the women you’ll be training alongside.
