Introduction to Combat Collective Starting April 10 ( 16 sessions)

Time: Wednesday 7:45pm - 8:45pm & Saturday 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Levels: Beginners to very limited experience of Muay Thai 

Summary:

This is an intensive program suited for beginners/ anyone relatively new to Muay Thai and ready to start their combat journey with us- all fitness levels welcome. Training around like-minded women and inspirational female coaches would also be the perfect opportunity for you to build up your confidence, physical and inner power in a new community. The agenda is listed as per below- with key focus areas on holding pads; learning of basic and key striking, punches, hooks, elbows, knees, teeps, defence moves; and lastly fitness and strength conditioning.

WEEK 1 


Key focus: 

Punches, Roundhouse with pads holding, blocking, teep

Agenda: 

  • Warm up and circuits

WEEK 2


Key focus: 

Blocking, teep, introduction to knees and shadow boxing

Agenda: 

  • Warm up and circuits 
  • Introduction to shadow boxing 
  • Introduction to knee pad work
  • General bag work 
  • Blocking and teep 
  • Core exercises and stretching 

WEEK 3


Key focus: 

Low kicks, bag work, pivot hooks

Agenda: 

  • Warm up and circuits 
  • Technical drills 
  • Low kick drills 
  • Pivot hook drills 
  • General bag work
  • Core exercises and stretching 

WEEK 4


Key focus: 

Elbows pad an bag work, defence drills

Agenda: 

  • Warm up and circuits 
  • Elbows pad work 
  • General bag work 
  • Partner work (e.g. jab cross, teeps, abs/ core exercises) 
  • Defence drills (Parry)
  • Core exercises and stretching

Uppercuts, kicking defence

  • Shadow sparring 
  • General bag work

Technical body boxing and drills

Superwoman drills
